I'm a fraud investigator turned podcast strategist.
Before podcasting, I was trained in pattern recognition by a consulting firm that also trains the FBI, so I look at a struggling podcast the way I used to look at a case file: what’s actually going on underneath, and what everyone else is missing.
For years I made podcasts sound great, with crisp audio and polished edits, and I kept the strategy side to myself. Then a client asked me point-blank, “Why isn’t my podcast growing?” and I realized I’d been holding back the part of my work that matters most.
We made three changes to her show, and her downloads jumped 61% in 30 days. After that, I stopped treating strategy as an add-on.
