hello and welcome back to the Podcasting Problem Solver. I'm Leah Bryant, the Go to podcast producer and certified growth coach for entrepreneurs who want results, not just living on a prayer with a microphone. And it's time for another Thursday quick win your short, actionable episode to help you grow your podcast without the stress or guesswork. And today we are tackling one of the biggest questions that I get all the time. Do you really have to publish every single week to grow your podcast? Are you ready to break it down? Here we go. So publishing weekly is the best way to become part of your listener's routine. Think about your own habits. Maybe you listen to a show every Monday morning on your commute or during your Thursday workout.
Why Consistency Matters for Podcast Growth
Leah Bryant [00:00:53]:
Consistency makes you a part of someone's week. And that, my friends, is a powerful way to grow and connect. But here's where the myth creeps in. Some podcasters believe if they can't publish weekly, then they shouldn't publish at all. And I'm here to tell you that is not true. If a weekly schedule isn't realistic in the season of life or business you're in, you have options. You could do biweekly episodes, and this is perfect if you want to stay consistent without the pressure of weekly production. You could do a seasonal podcast, record a batch of episodes, release them in a six to eight-week run, and then take a break.
Flexible Podcast Publishing Schedules: Bi-Weekly, Seasonal, and Hybrid Approaches
Leah Bryant [00:01:36]:
You could do a hybrid approach. Maybe you do a weekly podcast for a few months, and then you switch to biweekly when things get busy. I know some podcasters do this for the summer because, listening across all platforms, niches, and genres, they all go down. Now, the key is, and I want you to hear me right now, commit to a rhythm you can maintain. Weekly is ideal for habit building, but growth that comes from consistency and quality, not guilt. The one thing I also want you to remember is whatever you choose to do, let's let your audience know if you're taking a break, if you're moving to bi weekly, if you're going to seasons, if you're going to do a hybrid approach, whatever that is for you, just communicate that to your audience in an episode. So that way they know when and where to find you the next time. All right, so if you want help creating a podcast schedule that actually works for your life and drives growth, come on over and join my newsletter.
