Welcome to the Podcasting Problem Solver
Leah Bryant [00:00:00 - 00:00:47]:
[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:03] Hello, and welcome back to the Podcasting Problem Solver. [00:00:07] I am Leah Bryant, your go to podcast growth strategist, here to coach you to podcast strategically with more clarity and better results. [00:00:18] All right, so if every time you sit down to plan an episode, your brain suddenly decides to take a vacation and exit the building, well, guess what? [00:00:29] Congratulations. [00:00:30] You're a podcaster. [00:00:33] Welcome to the club. [00:00:34] And if you've ever looked at someone else's content, beautifully organized podcast workflows and thought, wow, couldn't be me. [00:00:44] Well, buckle up, buttercup, because today we are going to fix that.
The Five-Step Seamless Podcast Workflow
Leah Bryant [00:00:48 - 00:01:50]:
[00:00:48] I am walking you through my exact five step seamless podcast workflow. [00:00:53] The one that I teach my clients, the one that I use myself, and the one that cuts three to five hours off every single episode without sacrificing your quality or your sanity. [00:01:06] Okay, by the end of this episode, you'll know exactly how to get your idea out of your head, into a plan, into production, and published with a repeatable system you can use every single week. [00:01:19] And listen, if you want help implementing this inside your own show, I do have something special for you. [00:01:26] But I'll tell you about that here in a minute. [00:01:29] Most podcasters don't struggle because they're inconsistent, right? [00:01:35] What do they do struggle with? [00:01:37] Well, it's because their system is inconsistent. [00:01:40] They're reinventing the wheel every single episode. [00:01:45] And every decision takes 10 times longer because it's being made from scratch.
Leah Bryant [00:01:51 - 00:02:30]:
[00:01:51] And every step feels heavier because there's not a structure that's supporting them. [00:01:56] And this is exactly where the cracks happen. [00:01:59] The missed weeks, the rushed edits. [00:02:02] Oh, no, I forgot to publish moments. [00:02:04] That's also where your strategy for your episodes and leading it back to your business offers gets messy, too. [00:02:12] Because what I want you to think about is, is that having a podcast workflow doesn't necessarily equate to busy work. [00:02:20] It's insurance for your consistency, your growth, your quality, and quite honestly, your sanity. [00:02:28] So let's talk through and walk through.
Introducing the SEAMless Podcast Framework
Leah Bryant [00:02:30 - 00:03:05]:
[00:02:30] Talk through, walk through, listen through the five steps using my seamless framework, which is the strategy, execution, attraction, and momentum, because each step supports the next. [00:02:43] So step number one is the strategy snapshot. [00:02:46] Remember, strategy is the very first step in the seamless podcast framework. [00:02:50] And even if I didn't have a framework, this strategy should be the first step. [00:02:54] You always do. [00:02:55] Okay, so I want you to plan before you press record. [00:03:00] Yes, please, and thank you. [00:03:03] This is where you identify.
Step 1: Strategy Snapshot
Leah Bryant [00:03:06 - 00:03:43]:
[00:03:06] What's the goal of the episode? [00:03:08] Who am I talking to? [00:03:10] What do I want? [00:03:11] The listener to do next. [00:03:13] And how does this support the business this week, not last month. [00:03:18] Your strategy snapshot is a two to three minute check in. [00:03:22] Not a novel, not a brainstorm session, just clarity before that creation. [00:03:28] This one step alone can save podcasters hours. [00:03:32] Ask me how I know. [00:03:35] Because clarity up front, it does prevent the messiness downstream. [00:03:39] Okay, next up is your episode blueprint.
Step 2: Episode Blueprint
Leah Bryant [00:03:43 - 00:04:18]:
[00:03:43] So what I want you to do is I want you to outline, not overthink it. [00:03:47] Okay? [00:03:48] Forget writing every line from scratch, unless you're scripting a solo episode like this one. [00:03:53] Your episode blueprint should include your hook, three to five core points, your transitions, your call to action. [00:04:01] Of course. [00:04:02] And. [00:04:02] And always remember this, your call to actions should be integrated into the episode, not just at the end. [00:04:07] Right? [00:04:08] And any examples or stories that you want to reference and that you should reference in all your episodes. [00:04:14] This is where your brain kind of goes, ah, okay, we've got this.
Leah Bryant [00:04:19 - 00:05:00]:
[00:04:19] And you do. [00:04:19] I totally believe in you. [00:04:21] This is also the perfect place to weave in your next call to action so that it feels natural, right? [00:04:27] Instead of forced. [00:04:29] For example, just like I'm doing right now. [00:04:32] If you're listening to this and thinking, leah, I want help building my workflow. [00:04:38] Well, remember, if you DM me or email me with the words seamless workflow, I will give you my strategy session. [00:04:48] That's normally 297 for 197. [00:04:52] And what's included in the 197 is four 15 minute blocks of voice coaching via voxer or telegram.
Step 3: Smooth Recording
Leah Bryant [00:05:00 - 00:05:27]:
[00:05:00] Your choice, whatever your jam is throughout 30 days. [00:05:03] And we'll talk about anything that you want. [00:05:05] Okay, back to our steps. [00:05:07] Step number three is smooth recording. [00:05:10] Kind of like smooth operator. [00:05:12] Right? [00:05:12] So we want to make it easy to hit record, and this is where people will lose the most time. [00:05:18] So you want to know my role? [00:05:19] Well, you should focus on reducing friction. [00:05:24] Take less than five minutes and be repeatable.
Leah Bryant [00:05:27 - 00:06:06]:
[00:05:27] Okay, so for me, it's open Riverside, open my episode blueprint, hit record. [00:05:34] And yes, it really is that simple, friend. [00:05:37] No overthinking, no rearranging your desk decor. [00:05:42] You're just pressing record. [00:05:44] And then next up we have step number four, which is what we'll call post production capsule, where you will edit, prep and polish. [00:05:54] Your post production capsule is think of it like a bundle of repeatable tasks. [00:05:59] Okay, so you're going to edit or you're going to send to your editor. [00:06:02] And if you don't have an editor and you want an editor, well, guess what, I also edit podcast.
Step 4: Post Production Capsule
Leah Bryant [00:06:07 - 00:06:48]:
[00:06:07] And then you will Add in your intro and outro. [00:06:09] You export your file, you upload it to your host. [00:06:13] You will add your really great SEO show notes and episode descriptions. [00:06:18] SEO keywords, kind of like podcast workflow or a podcast process, or podcast systems or consistency. [00:06:25] Just kind of like give an example here, then you're gonna schedule it. [00:06:29] So this is where most podcasters, in my opinion, also kind of get stuck because they try to remember everything. [00:06:36] So what I want you to do is I want you to stop trying to remember everything and start systematizing everything. [00:06:44] Right? [00:06:44] We wanna create a checklist, and then that way you can use it forever.
Leah Bryant [00:06:48 - 00:07:18]:
[00:06:48] So, like, I love to use ClickUp, and in ClickUp is set up to where each new task is an episode. [00:06:54] And in that episode, it has different deliverables, different things that need to be done, all the things. [00:06:59] And then as they're completed, they're checked off. [00:07:01] And then I know that once everything is checked off for that specific episode, the episode is good to go. [00:07:06] Okay. [00:07:07] If you have questions or want to see what that looks like, let me know and I can send that over to you. [00:07:12] All right, so step number five is the momentum loop. [00:07:16] And this is your post publish routine.
Step 5: The Momentum Loop
Leah Bryant [00:07:18 - 00:07:54]:
[00:07:18] Okay? [00:07:19] So if you want consistent growth, this step cannot be optional. [00:07:25] I don't want you to have the mindset that, oh, I have SEO in place and the stars are going to align and everything is going to be perfect and the world is going to find me. [00:07:37] Well, friend, half of that is true. [00:07:39] If you do have really great SEO locked in place, yes, you can be found. [00:07:43] But I also want you to put in effort. [00:07:45] I want you to talk about your episode in all the places. [00:07:49] Okay? [00:07:50] And maybe on all the places. [00:07:51] I don't want you to post in 25 different platforms.
Leah Bryant [00:07:54 - 00:08:19]:
[00:07:54] I want you to pick your top two where your people are hanging and post about it. [00:07:59] So, for instance, right now, I am loving Threads. [00:08:02] If you are not there, come join me. [00:08:03] It is so much fun. [00:08:05] I am a little unhinged sometimes over there on Threads, and actually the people who are following me love it. [00:08:11] And I get new followers, like literally every day. [00:08:14] It's so much fun. [00:08:15] I love sharing, kind of like off the cuff, more personality, a lot more Leah.
Leah Bryant [00:08:19 - 00:08:36]:
[00:08:19] So definitely come over there to Threads. [00:08:21] But so I'm focusing on Threads because that's the one platform where I have a lot of engagement. [00:08:26] So I'm using that. [00:08:27] And I'm also using my newsletter, which if you're not a part of the newsletter, please come join it. [00:08:31] That link is below. [00:08:32] It's so much fun. [00:08:33] I give lots of valuable information. [00:08:35] All right, so that's what I want you to do.
Using Analytics for Podcast Growth
Leah Bryant [00:08:36 - 00:08:58]:
[00:08:36] Pick two platforms. [00:08:38] So, like, a social media platform, and then, like, another one. [00:08:40] So it could be like Instagram, if that is your jam, do Instagram and your newsletter, or Instagram and Pinterest. [00:08:46] Or you could do Instagram, Pinterest and the newsletter. [00:08:49] I won't be mad at that either. [00:08:50] But I want you to remember is that this momentum loop, it includes your social assets. [00:08:57] Right. [00:08:57] And your emails.
Leah Bryant [00:08:59 - 00:09:31]:
[00:08:59] But I also want you to pay attention to your analytics. [00:09:03] And, yes, I want you to track them the day of publish and then seven days, but then I don't want you to look at them again until, like, 30 days later. [00:09:12] Okay? [00:09:13] And this is kind of like what I walk through my coaching clients with, is that I have a dashboard that I had built out for them, and it gives them all their information. [00:09:22] It's really great. [00:09:23] And it's digestible. [00:09:25] Right. [00:09:25] They understand it. [00:09:26] So looking at your downloads in this way, you're not obsessing over it.
Leah Bryant [00:09:31 - 00:10:00]:
[00:09:31] Right. [00:09:32] You're really using the data to make informed decisions. [00:09:35] And that's what I want you to do, is to make informed decisions about your content. [00:09:39] Because if you publish an episode and you're checking it obsessively, and maybe that's a harsh word, but sometimes we can get that way. [00:09:47] I get that way sometimes, I won't lie. [00:09:49] But then it can really kind of be a drain on you. [00:09:51] Okay? [00:09:52] So when you space out checking your analytics, you can really decide what is and is not resonating. [00:10:00] So.
The Power of Consistency and Workflow
Leah Bryant [00:10:00 - 00:10:36]:
[00:10:00] And the thing that I want you to remember, too, is that momentum is going to build through repetition and routine. [00:10:06] Yep. [00:10:07] This loop will keep your podcast discoverable, searchable, and clickable without you scrambling every week. [00:10:14] Because I don't want you to do that. [00:10:16] And I will say that if you follow these steps or anything else I've talked about on this podcast, it really does work. [00:10:22] I want to tell you why by giving you an example. [00:10:25] So one of my coaching clients, her name is Jenna, she came to me super overwhelmed. [00:10:30] She loved her podcast, but hated the process because every episode took her, like, seven hours.
Leah Bryant [00:10:36 - 00:11:13]:
[00:10:36] And she was always publishing late, which I don't ever recommend doing, because your audience gets accustomed to listening to you at a certain time of day, and you want to keep up with that. [00:10:45] Right? [00:10:46] So what we did was I built her a workflow using the same system I just went through, and within two weeks of her getting acclimated to it and all the things her Recording time dropped in half. [00:10:58] Yep. [00:10:59] Her production time fell by four hours. [00:11:02] Four. [00:11:02] Four hours. [00:11:04] And I think the best thing is, is that her downloads did increase and it was because she was finally, yes, friend, consistent. [00:11:11] And she said that she liked podcasting again.
Leah Bryant [00:11:13 - 00:12:08]:
[00:11:13] And when you like doing something, you can hear it in your voice, right? [00:11:17] And that energy will translate through the microphone, through the airwaves and into the people that are listening and will get them pumped about what you're talking about. [00:11:25] And that's what this workflow does. [00:11:27] It gives you your time back, but it also gives you confidence back, right? [00:11:33] Because here's the thing. [00:11:34] Your podcast doesn't need more time from you because what it does need is a system. [00:11:42] You have to have a system. [00:11:43] And when you start with your strategy and, you know, outline intentionally, you are able to record with ease and then you're able to produce with a repeatable checklist and maintain your momentum and all that stuff, right? [00:11:55] You're going to stop wasting those hours and start running a podcast that actually supports your business instead of being a drain. [00:12:03] And we don't want that. [00:12:04] We want your podcast to support your business, to bring in those leads.
Why the SEAMless Podcast Workflow Works
Leah Bryant [00:12:08 - 00:12:49]:
[00:12:08] And this is the difference between guessing and growth. [00:12:12] And this entire workflow that I've mentioned before is built on the seamless framework, right? [00:12:18] So strategy is what gives you that clarity before the creation. [00:12:21] Execution is giving you the systems that reduce the friction. [00:12:26] Attraction means that your content is optimized so it's findable. [00:12:31] And then last but not least, we don't ever want to forget the momentum because that means consistency that compounds, right? [00:12:37] So every step strengthens the next. [00:12:40] And that's why this works. [00:12:42] And that is also why it's repeatable. [00:12:44] And that, my friend, is why podcasters who follow this see results quickly.
