Podcasting Problem Solver Framework: Turn Your Podcast Into a Lead Generator

Your downloads are fine, but your inquiry form stays quiet. If you run a business and you started a podcast to support it, you have probably done the math on the hours that show takes every week, and lately the math hasn’t been kind.

That gap between a podcast that exists and a podcast that has a job is what the Podcasting Problem Solver Framework™ was built to close. It’s the process I use on every show I work with, whether the client is launching, getting coached, or handing me production. I tailor it to your audience and your offers, so you never get a template. It has four pillars: Strategy, Execution, Attraction, and Momentum.

1. Strategy Positioning: Give the Podcast a Job in Your Business

Most podcasts I look at have no purpose beyond “share value.” Topics get picked based on whatever feels interesting that week, so the show attracts people who enjoy it and never hires anyone. Nobody told your podcast what its job was, and it shows.

Strategy starts with where the show sits in your business. It might build trust with people who already know you, warm up leads before a sales call, or put you in front of people who have never heard your name. Each of those needs different episodes and a different call to action.

From there, we get specific about the listener. Skip the demographics; I want the problem they’re typing into a search bar at midnight. Then we map episode themes to your offers and sharpen the positioning so someone knows within ten seconds whether the show is for them. Without this work, you can’t tell which episodes are helping, because nothing defined what helping meant.

2. Streamlined Execution: Systems That Keep the Show Going When Your Calendar Fills Up

A strategy that never gets published is an idea on paper. Execution is where it becomes episodes, and where most well-intentioned shows slip to the back burner the first month a busy stretch of client work hits.

We set up the tech with only the essentials: a hosting platform and a recording workflow you can run without becoming an audio engineer. We build a repeatable process for planning, recording, editing, and publishing so you always know what comes next, plus a publishing rhythm that fits your real capacity, whether that’s weekly or every other week. File organization and episode checklists sit behind it all, so the show keeps moving when life gets loud.

3. Optimized Attraction: Podcast SEO, So the Right Listeners Find You

A great episode nobody can find does nothing for your business. Attraction is the search work: titles, show notes, keywords, and categories, in the podcast apps and on Google. This is podcast SEO and podcast search optimization, and small changes here move more than most people expect.

Try this today. Search the topic your best episode covers and see whether your show or that episode appears. If it doesn’t, that’s the Attraction work that you need to focus on.

We also build a promotion plan sized to your schedule and energy, with no demand that you become a full-time content creator. One episode can become an email, a LinkedIn article, a few posts, and a reel, so repurposing is part of the plan. Then we add touchpoints that give listeners a reason to DM you, leave a review, or apply to work with you.

4. Sustainable Momentum: Tracking What Matters and Adjusting From There

Plenty of podcasts launch well, get some early traction, and stall. Momentum is the plan for what happens after that.

Downloads are cute, but clients pay the bills, so we track listener retention and which episodes lead to conversations, engagement, and lead generation. Those numbers show what to double down on. Podcasting changes, so we make small adjustments before growth flatlines, then layer on guesting, partnerships, sponsorships, or a closer connection between the show and your sales funnel once the foundation holds. Planning, system upgrades, and delegation keep it sustainable, because a plan you can only follow in a good week won’t last.

Without this pillar, you get podfade, and the quiet question that comes with it: is this even worth it?

What This Looks Like: Chrissy at FINDINGbalance

Chrissy had an established brand and a loyal audience, and her podcast still felt like a side project. Episodes went out with no way to know whether they were doing anything.

We reworked her content strategy, refined her messaging, and added search practices that kept her voice intact. Her downloads have increased 25 to 30% year over year, and the show consistently holds a 65 to 82% average consumption rate across its catalog, meaning listeners get through most of each episode.

Her words:

“Leah is SERIOUSLY next level… Our audience has grown as a result of the variety of changes we implemented with LBC.”

How We Apply It Together: The Problem Solver Request Line

The Problem Solver Request Line is 1:1 coaching with me, delivered async in Slack. You bring your show, and we run the framework together: the strategy ties to your business goals, the systems build around your schedule, the growth plan gets your show in front of the right people, and the momentum work keeps it going after we wrap.

You never need an open slot on my calendar to ask a question. If one hits you in the carpool line at 3 p.m., send it. If perimenopause or menopause has you up at 3 a.m. and the question hits then (chances are I’m up too, hi, fellow perimenopauser), send it. Whatever you send is waiting for me at my next check-in. I check in on Slack three times a day, Monday through Friday, so answers reach you while you’re still in the middle of the work.

It’s $500 a month for three months. It fits if you run a business with an offer to sell and a podcast that’s supposed to support it, whether you’re about to launch or already publishing. It isn’t built for a show with no business goal attached.

Common Questions

Will this take a lot of my time?

The framework exists to give you time back. Repeatable systems for planning, recording, editing, and promoting mean you stop reinventing the process every week, and most clients are surprised how much easier podcasting gets once those are in place.

What if I’m not tech-savvy?

You don’t need to be. I help you pick simple, reliable tools, even if you’ve never recorded an episode, so the tech stays off your plate and you can focus on showing up and sharing your voice.

Couldn’t I post more on social media instead?

You can, and social media will amplify what you publish. A post scrolls off in a day, while a podcast episode sits in search and keeps bringing in listeners long after you hit publish.

If your podcast is publishing and your business isn’t feeling it, the Request Line is where we fix that together.
