Darrell got 16+ hours of his life back each month when he hired the best producer for The MindShift Podcast—Leah Bryant.
When Darrell’s Executive Assistant asked him on a random Tuesday why he was still editing his own podcast…
“Because” was his best response.
All my parents will totally resonate with that one on a deep, soul-level! While that argument does hold some sway with our toddlers—it’s not helping your business. At. All.
And that’s exactly what Darrell learned when he took things a little too far.
Darrell is also my business coach.
THE very coach who helped my business hit 6-figures in 2022.
He’s been around the business block for a bit—starting and/or running 6 businesses since he was 20 years old.
Yokel Local was one of those businesses. Darrell co-founded the company (which began as an SEO agency) in 2011.
He & his team have helped businesses generate more than $300 million—yep, with an “m”—in online revenue.
Another of these businesses is the Growth Driven Entrepreneur Academy.
Darrell and the Leah Bryant Co. team share a common goal of helping coaches—along with service-based business owners & course creators—find the freedom they deserve!
He wants you to get to the point where your business can run smoothly without you. And I want your podcast to run smoothly without you—well, except for the whole recording part…
He works with business owners to help them overcome what they see as the “challenges” that are holding them back from success in business. He does this through a mixture of solo episodes & guest interviews.
Something I hear Darrell speak about almost every week (as I edit his episodes ????) is:
“Your Superstar DNA (definite natural ability) is all you should focus on. The sooner
you can do that, the better you are. You have to save energy for what you’re best at.”

He also admits to this being some of his own coaching advice he ignored for too long. #FacePalm
Instead of focusing on what he’s best at—helping business owners be amazing business owners—he was taking 4 of his precious hours each week to edit his podcast.
Psst: this is where I come in!
Should you be editing your own podcast?
It was May 2021—not long after Darrell’s assistant asked him that ↑ question.
He pulled out the sheet of paper with the names of a few podcast producers he’d researched the year before.
He knew he shouldn’t be taking that extra time to edit his show—but he also wanted to understand how the work got done.
“I believe if I don’t know how it works, I can’t critique the process. But I took it too far.”
And then… out of the blue, Darrell got a call from a friend he’d known for 12 years.
This friend had just been in a Clubhouse room (remember those?) with me & she thought we’d make a great team.
The power of referral, friends!

‘You in front of the mic + me behind the scenes.’
If you ask him what it was that made it a quick and easy “yes!” he’ll tell you “Leah’s tagline is ‘You in front of the mic—me behind the scenes.’
It was in perfect alignment to where I needed to be at that point.”
If we haven’t met yet…
I’m an introverted, Midwestern mom of 1 spunky lil’ guy named Ezra! With a background as a fraud investigator, I went from fighting crime to conquering “ums” and “uhs.” And I’m kind of known for this fun quiz I made that helped my business really take off! I am so excited you’re here learning how hiring a podcast production agency can free up your life.
Let’s get back to Darrell’s story ↓ ↓ ↓
As soon as he signed on the dotted line, I got to work!
So… what does it look like to have someone produce your podcast?
Well, if you ask Darrell that he’s going to say
“When I’m done recording—I’m out.”
…repeatedly. ????
That’s because → it’s true!
All I want you to do is show up, spout your brilliant words, & go about the rest of your day with the assurance that I’ve got it from here.
I will tackle the list of podcast tasks that include:
...and more!
Darrell’s right!
My clients are the best! And they’re SO smart.
He’s offered a time or two to help (on the rare occasion that I’m out with a sick kiddo or something)—
“I could still go back to my old ways & share something on the fly or whatever, but Leah is a pro, and she cares—and she doesn’t want me touching anything!”
I don’t want any of my clients to ever worry about even ONE little thing when it comes to their podcast.
“She has crystal-clear processes.”
As Darrell says:
“Leah is super organized and cares about the finite details. I like the fact that she has crystal-clear processes. Everything has been super smooth with her.”
From our very first meeting, Darrell—as with all my clients—knew what to expect each week.
I’ve worked really hard to make it easy for you too
Book the virtual recording studio whenever you need it
Share your podcast episodes & celebrate with your audience as they listen
Take back your time — with your family, that you could spend with clients, etc.
Feel comfortable with me & confident that I care as much as you do about your podcast
Ok, here’s something else really sweet that Darrell shared:
“Leah is one of the most diligent, process-driven startups/founders/owners
that I’ve worked with. And I’ve worked with MANY startups over the years.”

And coming from a business coach… I mean, there’s no greater compliment, right?
In fact—he went from a single weekly episode to TWO weekly podcast episodes shortly after we started working together.
He’s also been able to…
Hit 30k Downloads
Reach all-time highs in terms of stats → Darrell will hit 30k downloads next month ????
Double up
Add a second segment to the show
Grow his List
Make strong CTAs (he sends listeners to his free community & email list)
Record Ads
Even record some of his own ads for the show
Let’s recap ↓
Darrell got his time back, has added an extra episode each week, and is growing his free communities!
[Just gonna insert a moment for you to drop your jaw]
take back
your time
take back your time
I think Darrell sums it up really well with this line
I didn’t know how much time & energy I was actually spending on editing my podcast. And what I’d be able to get back by working with Leah.”
It’s been such a joy getting to be a part of Darrell’s podcasting success!
